Dr. Matt Jarvinen, Ph.D
Dr. Jarvinen earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA. He completed his clinical internship in San Diego with Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. In addition to his work at BOLD, he is an adjunct professor of psychology in Point Loma Nazarene University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program, and is a graduate fellow at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. He has published articles in the Journal of Positive Psychology and has served as an academic manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Positive Psychology. He also has received specialized training and supervision in accelerated forms of psychodynamic psychotherapy (e.g., ISTDP) and in the integration of psychotherapy and spirituality/theology.
